Rail transport from China: Resumption of operations confirmed

We have some positive news for you. The Polish government has officially confirmed that the railway border with Belarus will reopen on the night of Wednesday, September 24 to Thursday, September 25.

Dear customers,

We have some positive news for you. The Polish government has officially confirmed that the railway border with Belarus will reopen on the night of Wednesday, September 24 to Thursday, September 25.

Given the end of the Zapad 2025 military exercise, which was the main reason for the closure, the government states that, taking into account the economic interests of carriers and railways, the aim is to resume operations.

However, it is important to bear in mind that opening and throughput may be limited, especially initially, depending on ongoing security assessments. Trains from China continued to depart even during the closure, resulting in a large accumulation of goods on the Belarusian side and congestion at border crossings – so we should not expect all stranded goods to be cleared within 2-3 days. (Some trains carrying our shipments were stopped about 380 km from the border, others about 650 km) The good news is that the border is set to reopen; let us hope that border authorities will make every effort to clear the backlog.

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will keep you informed about specific train departures carrying your shipments.
